An extraordinary dialogue between sacred classical music and the city’s historic architecture: on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the Church of Sant’Agata in Cremona will host an organ concert by Kit Armstrong.

Titled The Voice of the Sant’Agata Organ, the event will see one of the most versatile and eclectic talents on the international music scene bring the church’s historic instrument to life, offering the audience an experience that is both intimate and monumental.

Born in Los Angeles in 1992, Kit Armstrong is considered one of the most captivating figures in today's concert world. A pianist, organist, and composer, Armstrong distinguished himself from a young age not only through extraordinary technical mastery and rare musical intellect, but also through a unique background that combines music with advanced studies in mathematics and physics at prestigious European universities.

Mentored by the legendary pianist Alfred Brendel, who recognized his exceptional interpretive maturity, Armstrong regularly performs at the world’s most renowned musical venues—from the Berlin Philharmonie and Vienna’s Musikverein to the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam—collaborating with conductors such as Christian Thielemann, Kent Nagano, and Riccardo Chailly.

Beyond his piano repertoire, which spans from the Renaissance to contemporary music, Armstrong nurtures a deep passion for the organ and sacred music. In 2012, he purchased the Church of Sainte-Thérèse in Hirson, France, converting it into a cultural center dedicated to concerts, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary events. His performance in Cremona offers a rare opportunity to experience his musicological rigor and poetic sensitivity applied to the organ heritage.
