Fondazione Casa Stradivari at Villaggio Italia in Jeddah for the Final Stop of Amerigo Vespucci’s World Tour

Fondazione Casa Stradivari, the Stradivari "The Angel" – ex Madrileno 1720, Fabrizio von Arx and Antonio Valentino took center stage at the event "Nave Vespucci presents… The Secrets of Antonio Stradivari", organized by the Italian Embassy in Riyad at Villaggio Italia, set up in Jeddah for the final stop of Amerigo Vespucci’s world tour.

From July 1, 2023, to February 11, 2025, "the most beautiful ship in the world" is sailing for 20 months, docking in over 30 ports across 28 countries, covering all five continents while promoting Italian excellence, including Cremona and its renowned musical craftsmanship.

On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, a concert was held featuring Fabrizio von Arx (violinist and Artistic Director of Fondazione Casa Stradivari) and Antonio Valentino (pianist and Artistic Director of Unione Musicale). Their performance showcased a repertoire spanning Bach, Vivaldi, Paganini, Saint-Saëns, and Sarasate, captivating an enthusiastic international audience, including the Italian Ambassador to Riyadh, Carlo Baldocci. Before the performance, promotional videos by the Municipality of Cremona and Fondazione Casa Stradivari were screened to highlight and celebrate the beauty of the city of the legendary luthier.

During his stay, maestro Fabrizio von Arx played the Italian national anthem on the bow of the Amerigo Vespucci, a moving moment that paid tribute to the history and heritage of Italy.
