Casa Stradivari hosted by Kit Armstrong in Hirson for the world premiere of string instruments crafted during Casa Stradivari’s first violin making course

On October 17 and 18, 2025, Fondazione Casa Stradivari will be hosted by the renowned pianist Kit Armstrong at his Church of Sainte-Thérèse in Hirson (France) for two days dedicated to the excellence of violin making and music.

The event will mark a historic moment: the world premiere of the string instruments created during the first Advanced Course in Violin Making at Casa Stradivari, crafted by Alberto Luca Stella, Louis Marin, and Francesco Panazza.

The new instruments will come to life through performances by Kit Armstrong, Fabrizio von Arx, the Quatuor Ardeo, and Casa Stradivari’s musician friends – Thomas Briant, Meriel Bizri, Nikolas Altieri, and Francesco Tamburini.

Alongside the concerts, two international round tables will bring together Kit Armstrong, Fabrizio von Arx, Robert Brewer Young (J & A Beare), and the Casa Stradivari luthiers for a dialogue on contemporary creation and the enduring value of Cremona’s artisanal tradition.

With this initiative, Fondazione Casa Stradivari brings the spirit of Cremona, the world capital of violin making, to the heart of Europe, sharing Kit Armstrong’s vision as an ideal bridge between tradition and innovation, musical art and craftsmanship.
